Bagsidetekst
Management Accounting, financial measurement and planning is the second edition of the first book in the financial management education package consisting of two textbooks, Volume 1 and Volume 2, and an exercise book. The key updates from the earlier edition of Volume 1 include: 1.An introduction to the new Danish Accounting code – The Danish Act on Commercial Enterprises 2.An improved financial analysis chapter with more explanations in respect of the interpretations of the technical analyses, and with more examples. The education package is especially designed for the Marketing Economist programme in English covering the subjects Financial and Management Accounting. The accounting sections of Volume 1 has its roots in Danish accounting practice and reporting standards, and include reporting extracts from the Danish business community. As such the book may serve as a useful reference concerning Danish financial reports prepared in English for students at other business oriented courses, as well as for individuals, who need an update on financial management and terminology in English. The book covers the following 4 sections: 1. The key business, financial and economics issues within a marketing focused company 2. An introduction to accounting, Danish law on the subject and financial reporting 3. A framework for analysing and interpreting financial statements 4. An introduction to financial management systems To put the theories and text into a meaningful context the book also uses a fictive company, described in the beginning of the book, and then used in each chapter, on the basis of a case, to present an issue addressed in the chapter, followed by a solution later on.
