Bagsidetekst
For many years, business process improvement has received much attention by academics, consultancies and software vendors. Many concepts of business process improvement have emerged in various types of literature and often, such concepts have been associated with various buzzwords and fads. This book represents another perspective by providing the reader with an extensive toolbox to support carrying out process improvement projects instead of presenting a general recipe for achieving business process improvements. The generic perspective presented in this book has the robustness to exist side-by-side with other management concepts. This book consists of twelve chapters organized into four parts: Analysis, Design, Implementation, and Evaluation. Within the framework of the course of business process improvement projects, this book presents a wide range of models, theories, and techniques. These topics are of particular importance to master and MBA level students as well as practitioners. Companies with an understanding of the topics covered in this book will have much higher rates of success than companies approaching the same projects from a common-sense perspective. Therefore, the book is a very useful introduction to the difficult and complex challenge of improving business processes.
